Operation Rising Lion

A Personal Development Journal

About

Hi, I’m Netanel — but most people call me Nati.

I’m a software and information systems engineering student with a background primarily in web development and software projects. Over the years, I’ve built web applications, tools, and academic projects, worked with backend and frontend systems, and experimented with areas like data processing and machine learning as part of my studies.

Most of my work until now lived in the world of applications, systems, and practical problem-solving – things with clear requirements, defined goals, and familiar development patterns.

Game development is different, at least for me.

Operation Rising Lion started as a small browser-based experiment, then moved through a Unity prototype, and eventually led me to Unreal Engine 5. Not because it was the easiest choice, but because it forced me into unfamiliar territory – technically, creatively, and financially (those assets aren’t cheap!)

This journal exists to document that shift.
Not as a showcase of finished results, but as an honest record of building something outside my usual comfort zone, while bringing along everything I’ve learned from web development, software engineering, and academic work.

This isn’t a studio site or a marketing page.
It’s simply a place to think out loud while working on a project that feels worth committing to.
